this
project also involved another artist’s installation and one digital installation
within the Fleetwood Museum. Butterfly Case Study connected these two locations.

Butterfly Case Study

Dover Court Beach Hut
As part of a five-day public arts project involving 10 beach huts
and local school children,
this temporary artwork remained throughout the
2005 summer season and was entitled:
A Walk on the Beach.
Rumour has it that the shoes walked away one by one.

Dolan Court Installation
These two pieces are a part of a permanent three-dimensional installation in the laundry
room of a residential community, Dolan Court, as part of the
City Memories Project
commissioned by National Museums Liverpool.
Stuart Bale photographs from the
National Museums Liverpool collection
were used along with memories of the residents for inspiration.

GM Sheep Detail

at the
Dukes Theatre in Lancaster. It was exhibited in Cumbria for Fred,
Salmesbury Hall
and also the Mall Galleries in London before finding
a proper home at VetPlus, Lytham UK.

Life's Open Book
Various symbolic objects were used to tell this family’s story. The couple had lived in many
different places in the UK marked by closed books. One of the family names was Buck
– hence the wooden buck in the bottom left hand corner.

Love's Long Journey
A personal piece created about the journey of love.

My Magician Detail
A donated piece to the Paintings in Hospitals Collection whereby
artwork is loaned out to various hospitals throughout the United Kingdom.

Salford Suitcase
This suitcase was part of a large installation commissioned by Salford
Museum for the What Would You Do If Project in 2006. It was created in response to interviews with Salford residents
about their experiences of evacuation and displacement during WWII.

Wake of the Water Baby
Wake of the Water Baby was exhibited for the Society for Art of Imagination’s
Water Exhibition, London in 2004 winning third prize. The body of the baby
was found at a roundabout in Blackpool. The boat was discovered at the Preston
Market along with the baby’s head. When all put together, the out of proportion
head creates a disturbing object. The world is not always what it seems.
